Anu Vedantham

Ms. Vedantham comes to Penn from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. At
Stockton, she directed the Southern Regional Educational Technology Training
Center (ETTC) for six years providing professional development and technology
models for college faculty and K-12 teachers. She also served as Interim
Associate Provost and as Director of Instructional Technology. Her research on global warming has been recognized by the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC) as a significant contribution to the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Ms. Vedantham
holds her New Jersey Principal Certificate and served for two years as Director
of Grants and Community Initiatives at Stafford Township School District. In the
mid-90s, Ms. Vedantham served as Program Officer at the Telecommunications
Opportunities Program at the United States Department of Commerce.
Ms. Vedantham completed her Masters in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson
School at Princeton University and her Bachelors and Masters in Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT). She is pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education Management at Penn's Graduate School of Education.

David Toccafondi

David Toccafondi manages the Vitale Digital Media Lab. He is a Penn alumnus, and has worked at the Library in various capacities since 1995. Most recently, he provided IT support and training to the Public Services staff in eight of Penn's libraries. You will also often see David around Philadelphia and Washington, DC taking photographs.

Jesse Turnbull

Jesse Turnbull has provided technical expertise to the Vitale Digital Media Lab
since it opened in April 2006. He joined Penn's MultiMedia and Educational
Technology Services (MMETS) department in 2004. Jesse received his Bachelors in
Fine Arts BFA) from the Maryland Institute College of Art, majoring in
illustration. Jesse teaches courses at the Maryland Institute, College of Art
and at the Delaware College of Art and Design. He also does freelance
illustration work, appearing most frequently in Philadelphia's WonkaVision magazine.

Sarah Jacoby

Sarah Jacoby
is a recent graduate of Haverford College where she graduated with a degree in English and Cinema Studies. She can attibute her digital skills to a range of employment experience; from having worked as a digital archive assistant to Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, and Haverford's East Asian Studies departments to a stint as a project manager with Safe Sound Archive, an archive and recording company in Chestnut Hill. Sarah is currently working on a number of music and film projects and has been known to program analog synthesizers in her spare time.

Ben Remsen

Ben Remsen received a BA in English from Rutgers University in 2002 and is a presently working on a master's degree in Library and Information Science at Drexel University. In the intervening
time he taught English in Japan and in Philadelphia, held a wide variety of other jobs, traveled to a number of countries, and started a few bands. Before coming to WIC, he worked for five months in Van Pelt's circulation department.

Gwen McEntee

Gwen McEntee is currently pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science
at Drexel University. She recently graduated from the University of
Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Anthropology. As an undergraduate, she worked as a
student research assistant at HUP, in the Interlibrary Loan department of Van
Pelt, and in the Annenberg Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
