ELIXR MERLOT Faculty Development Initiative

Nurturing Student Creativity with Video Projects
Penn Libraries is proud to announce this set of digital case stories. Each has several components - the course vision, assignment details (structure and assessment), student reflections (in essay and video form), student work examples and supporting documentation. Each includes several short video clips. The case stories are designed to inspire and advise faculty around the nation who are considering the integration of video project assignments in the courses they teach. View the press release.

Penn Libraries received one of seven grants in January 2009 from the national MERLOT ELIXR initiative to develop this set of digital case stories that builds on the 2008 Thinking Creatively about Video Assignments project. The stories use Pachyderm, a multimedia development platform that integrates video, audio, images and text. MERLOT ELIXR's national collection of digital case stories can be browsed by discipline or theme.
