MERLOT ELIXR Theme Module
Penn Libraries received one of seven grants in January 2009 from the national MERLOT ELIXR initiative to develop a theme module for faculty development. The theme module titled Nurturing Student Creativity with Video Projects builds on the 2008 Thinking Creatively about Video Assignments project with five participants:
- Regina Austin, Penn Law
- Peter Decherney, English and Cinema Studies, SAS (facilitator)
- Louise Krasniewicz, Anthropologist, Penn Museum
- Andrew Lamas, Urban Studies, SAS
- Jacqui Sadashige, Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing, SAS
Theme modules use Pachyderm, a multimedia development platform that integrates video, audio, images and text. Penn Libraries expects to complete this theme module by December 2009. MERLOT ELIXR's current set of theme modules can be browsed by discipline or theme.
