flat bed and one sheet-fed scanner located near the WIC printer stations. The Vitale Digital Media
Lab has 4 scanners: slide, film, document feeder, and large-format capability.
When scanning library materials and other works that are not your own, please follow copyright laws and regulations. For a summary
of issues and practices, see Stanford University's Copyright and Fair Use Overview.
Scanners in the Weigle Information Commons
The Canon and HP scanners are connected to workstations loaded with Adobe Acrobat for creating PDF files and Adobe Photoshop
CS4 for creating image files. The HP flatbed scanner also has ReadIRIS Pro, an OCR program that makes scanned text editable. The BookScan Station includes
a sheet feeder and a large-format scanner, both connected to an easy-to-use touchscreen monitor which allows you to email scanned files, upload them to your
Google Docs account, or save them to a USB drive. Please note, you must have a PennKey login to use the equipment.
